Hi, I’m Alyson!

My path to photography probably looks a little different than most.

I first learned my way around a camera while working as a police officer, where photography was an important part of documenting scenes and preserving the smallest details. I often worked in challenging lighting and unpredictable environments. I learned to slow down, look closely, and capture the details that might otherwise be missed.

Eventually, I traded my badge for a very different role: staying home with my daughter.

Somewhere between the everyday moments, tiny milestones, and approximately a million photos of my own baby, I realized how much I genuinely loved photography, not just as a skill, but as a way of preserving the moments we wish we could hold onto a little longer.

That’s where Little Lion Creative was born.

The name comes from my daughter and her absolute love of lions. She’s the little lion behind it all and the reason I rediscovered photography in an entirely new way.

Today, I get to take the attention to detail I learned years ago and use it for something much happier: capturing families, milestones, personalities, and all of those little details that make a season of life yours.

Because the big moments deserve beautiful photos, but I think the little ones do too.
